Peter began his working life as a Manual Arts Teacher in private schools. After seven years he responded to the needs of both teachers and students alike by becoming a youth worker within the Schools Department of Scripture Union Queensland. Over the six years of co-ordinating and supporting students, teachers and families in this role, Peter gained an insight to his ultimate future; a future that involved counselling for individuals, couples and families. He has proactively combined this extensive skill set with his teaching qualifications and is also a dedicated professional educator catering for community groups, schools, corporations and Government departments.
In 1994 Peter moved into full time counselling, combining a growing private practice with the challenging environment of working with behaviourally disturbed children in the Primary Schools of Logan City for Education Queensland.
Throughout Peter's life, furthering his education has always been a priority. He completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Sciences (Counselling) in 1995 and his Master of Social Sciences (Counselling) in 1999 at Queensland University of Technology. The combination of these qualifications with ongoing professional development, have resulted in Peter becoming a dedicated professional who is high ly recognised and regarded within the counselling community.
In 1999 Peter shifted his focus to developing his thriving private practice in Brisbane 's bayside suburb of Wellington Point. In practical terms, he tackles a broad spectrum of issues with adults and adolescents with the aim of empowering them to reach their potential. His passion is Relationships and Personal Development Counselling, and with his gift for lecturing, conducts numerous courses and seminars on topics ranging from professional development, team building, relationship growth, marriage and sexuality to parenting.
In July 2000 Peter commenced hosting ‘Talking Life' a weekly life issues, talk back radio program on Family Radio – Brisbane 96five. The show has aired weekly to over 200 stations across Australia and through the program he has interacted with literally thousands of people.
In addition to his counselling and education work, Peter now provides small businesses, corporations and Government departments a unique view few in Australia possess. A view encompassing how; individuals, small teams and larger groups interact, function, communicate, conflict and grow. This view has been developed over 30 years of his work in roles as a class teacher, youth worker, counsellor, educator and lecturer.
However Peter's greatest achievement has been his family consisting of Neroli, his wife of 31 years, two daughters Kate and Rebecca and son-in-law Wes. Peter is also a passionate Brisbane Lions Supporter and a keen surf fisherman.

Vikki graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium in 1992 with a Bachelor of Music degree. After completing an award-winning thesis in her final year, she became one of Australia’s first singing teachers to specialise solely in contemporary vocal technique. As such, she has worked in a lecturing, teaching and performing capacity for the last 25 years. More recently her work has evolved to incorporate vocal therapy.
Aside to this, Vikki’s life has been strongly shaped by a longstanding battle with mental illness, something that first reared its head a month after her 16th birthday. Undiagnosed and largely unsupported for a good many years, it left her feeling desperately misunderstood, deeply isolated and altogether different from what she now refers to as ‘The Normal People’. For this reason Vikki’s interest has become increasingly focused on issues of mental health and emotional well-being.
Since recovering, much of her attention and energy has been spent helping other ‘Wobblers’, a term she uses most respectfully and most endearingly to refer to anyone suffering from tricky times, mental illness, creative frustration or general muddledness in life. Her heart, quite simply, is to encourage all women to live their best life by loving the person they are, loving the people around them and loving the life they live. To this end, she has opened both heart and home to personally mentor dozens of women in need and personal crisis. In 2005, her passion was formally recognised when she was asked to lead a large mentoring program for an inner-city youth initiative.
Vikki’s story; a memoir called, Wobbly: One Woman’s Journey to Onward and Upward, published in 2010 was awarded the Caleb Award for best non-fiction memoir for 2011. Its message is simple: depression is not a life sentence, it doesn’t have to limit life’s possibilities for you and it most certainly doesn’t have to define you. Vikki has also published an accompanying workbook and a journal which is used by psychologists, doctors and other professional people-helpers.
Vikki is currently completing her Master’s in counselling at Christian Heritage College. Her heart’s desire is to work with clients affected by trauma, abuse issues and mental illness. As a gifted communicator, she regularly speaks in schools, support groups, corporate events and seminar training programs.
Vikki has been married to Andrew for 24 years, and they have two teenage children and one naughty beagle.

Mid October 2008 our practice manager Neroli (who is also married to Peter) was diagnosed with breast cancer. After treatment including a mastectomy and breast reconstruction (on 2 December 2008) and Chemotherapy in the first half of 2009 all is well. Therefore we are proud supporters of Pink Ribbon.
When Neroli's hair started to fall out Peter decided to join her in the removal of her hair. Peter calls it ‘chemo empathy’.
Thank you to all of you who offered well wishes, support, care, concern and prayers. Without these our journey would be so much more difficult. Thank you Peter J.
